The 4th edition of the biggest trade fair on renewable energy and energy efficiency in the west part of Romania, ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILĂ® took place between 25th-27th of April 2012, at Expo Arad International. The trade fair expected its visitors with 90 exhibitors from 12 European countries, who presented their products and services and discussed with specialized visitors, key persons and industry experts about experiences and business. The event created also a meeting point for the common interest that Romania, Hungary and Serbia have for renewable energy and energy efficiency.
 

“During the 3 days of the fair over 1600 visitors have stepped Expo Arad International. They had the chance to visit and discuss with exhibitors to make business and they could participate at the specialized conferences in this field, which took place alongside with the trade fair. We are proud also this year of the Solar Park, a special area where over 40 exhibitors from this field, presented their services and products" said Timea Szanto, Project Manager of the event.

The fair had important business to business discussions and exhibitors from Italy offered training opportunity for groups of students from Romania.
 

The event enjoyed the presence  of officials from Romania, Hungary and Serbia, which demonstrates the growing interest that the Romanian state gives to renewable energy and the interest of foreigners to invest and create partnerships with Romania, in this area.  The trade fair was supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forests and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and was sponsored by international companies: Producție Energie Verde, AROS SOLAR Technology and Gunther Wood.

Beside the exhibition, there took place also specialized conferences and workshops. The topics presented in these conferences were: solar energy, wood energy, energy efficiency, biomass and hydropower. These conferences and workshops gathered in 3 days over 250 national and international participants, including participants from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, and the United States, California.
