Renewable Energies Brought Spring to Arad

The second edition of the international trade fair for renewable energy and energy efficiency in building and renovation - ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILA® - closed its doors on the 19^th March 2010, after 3 days of success at Expo Arad International. The event was considered to be the most important platform for key players and experts to exchange know how and do business in the area of renewable energy in western part of Romania.

The event was also seen as: „ENREG is a good start and a cohesive force to unite the people active in the energy sector of Romania” Eng. Cornelia Popescu, ICPE ACTEL and as „a useful initiative for the development of the future renewable energy market” The National Forest Administration of Romania - ROMSILVA

Despite the financial crisis the number of exhibitors and exhibition space grew up to 10% in comparance to last year! 63 exhibitors came to the event from 8 countries, 40% being internationals. All the renewable energy domains were covered by the trade fair.  Small hydropower and biogas were given much attention at the event; the exhibitors from these fields presented their products on the Biogas Street and the Small Hydropower Avenue.  

The 1350 visitors, 75% specialized once could admire the products of companies like: AB Energy, Biogest Energie und Wassertechnik GmbH, CINK Hydro-Energy k.s., Global Hydro Energy GmbH, Envitec Biogas, GIS-Dienstleistungen, REHAU Polymer S.R.L., KT-Electonic and many others, who presented their innovations from the fields of: heating, cogeneration, hydropower, passive and prefabricated houses, energy efficiency, solar power and biogas. The visitors could assist to company presentations on the Exhibitor’s Forum.

The four international conferences and the Euro regional meeting IBEF® - International Business Exchange Forum, that took place in parallel to the trade fair, attracted 270 participants from and Romania. Especially the “2nd International Conference: Wood Energy in Romania – Modern Wood Energy Systems: a New Opportunity for Romania and South-East Europe” that took place on the 18^th March 2010, offered to Romanian and international experts an overview upon the possible ways of utilizing wood energy in Romania and practical expamples from other European countries. In the framework of the conference participated experts like Josef PLANK, Vice-president of the Austrian Biomass Association, Christian OBERLEITNER, Austrian Energy Agency, Ioan SBERA, President Romanian Forestry Association - ASFOR,  Valerian SOLOVĂSTRU, The National Forest Administration of Romania – ROMSILVA and many others.     

In the autumn of this year, 24. - 26. November 2010, the successful event from Arad will continue with the third edition of RENEXPO® South-East Europe, at Palace Hall Bucharest.
