ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILA 2009 - A Huge Success

On the 28th March 2009 ENREG^® ENERGIA REGENERABILA 2009 - International Trade Fair and Conference for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Construction and Renovation- closed its doors after a successful premiere

With 1.650 specialised visitors from Austria, Australia, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Serbia and Romania the first trade fair for renewable energy in Arad and in the region has been a big success! The premier of ENREG® ENERGIA REGENERABILA, from 26th -28th March, laid the foundation stone for REECO Romania’s future success.” – declared Avena Gall-Tamas, Project Manager of ENREG® ENERGIA REGENERABILA 2009.

50 exhibitors, of which 46 % are international, informed visitors about the future energy sources, energy efficiency and renewable energy. Wood energy, hydropower, wind energy, biogas, geothermal energy and solar energy were only some of the exhibition themes.

The opening ceremony on 26th March, gathered numerous local and international personalities such as Nicolae Grosa, the director of Expo Arad International, Dr. Zsolt Tarjani, Vice-president of the Hungarian Agency for Investment and Development, Prof. Dr. Milos Tesic, Academy of Science and Art Voivodina, the Serbian Republic and last but not least, the Counselor of the “Vasile Goldis” University Arad, Prof. Dr. Corneliu Maior. There were numerous press representatives, 3 radios and 4 televisions.

The 4 conferences and workshop, which took place parallel to the trade fair, attracted 250 conference attendees from Romania as well as from Hungary, Austria, Australia, Serbia, Italy and Germany.

Especially the “1st International Wood Energy Conference in Romania – Modern Wood Energy Systems: A New Opportunity for Romania & South-East Europe”, which took place on 27th March offered the attendees an overview upon ways of the utilization of wood energy in Romania, brought practical examples form other European countries and gave the chance to get informed about the latest results of research and development. There were also projects presented from other European countries.   

In autumn, the successful event for renewable energy, RENEXPO® South-East Europe will take place for the second time in Bucharest from 11^th – 13^th November 2009 in the Palace Hall.
